Cleveland, Ohio. We visit the heartland to investigate charges of a corrupt marine recruiter. The individual encourages recruits to lie about items on their record, saying once they become a marine past crimes can be swept under the rug.

A local news team investigates, using an undercover applicant, only to end up getting hassled by the police. Fortunately the reporters do not face charges or get arrested, but then again, neither does the marine recruiter. Despite being caught on tape urging recruits to lie on their application the individual is simply re-assigned to a different office in Pennsylvania.

In 2024, we hope that corruption doesn’t play a role, even in the recruiting process.
