With reports of NASA stymieing investigations, the NOW team proceeds apace. We speak with family members of the astronauts whom lost their lives, anonymous whistle blowers, and a variety of experts to determine what happened. Some believe the astronauts could have survived with better systems in place.

In 1986, the Challenger space shuttle exploded and broke apart just over a minute into it’s flight, killing all seven crew members aboard. The disaster resulted in a 32 month hiatus in the space shuttle program.
