Rivera says he believes as long as Americans are willing to spend money on drugs, another country besides Colombia will start to export heroin and cocaine in large quantities. Rivera says every time there is a new presidential administration there is renewed enthusiasm to fight the war on drugs………Rivera says Colombia is in chaos and thousands are requesting travel visas. Rivera says an army of Communist rebels is now dealing drugs. Rivera compares America’s involvement in Colombia to the Vietnam War. Rivera says he felt concerned for his safety when he went to Communist rebel territory for fear of being kidnapped.
