Geraldo Rivera’s news program Now It Can Be Told hosts former president Gerald Ford for an interview about his pardon of former president Richard Nixon. This clip starts with some history of the events in 1973 and 1974, Richard Nixon’s fall from Grace, and president Ford’s assumption of the office. We then move on to a conversation with Mr. Ford himself. If he had the chance to go back and do it all over again, would he issue the same presidential pardon to Richard Nixon?
President Richard Nixon resigned from office on August 9th, 1974.
President Gerald Ford’s term ended on January 20th, 1977. Mr Ford passed away on December 26th, 2006.
