Geraldo Rivera’s Now It Can Be Told. We speak with property owners in Patterson New York who were approached in 1987 by state officials with an opportunity to use their 22 acre property as a landfill. Four years later, the couple finds themselves accused of dumping hazardous waste, with a clean-up bill exceeding $800,000. An investigation reveals that the state officials who came to them with the proposal, may have in fact been fronting for the mob. Craig Rivera speaks with New York state Assemblyman Maurice Hinchey, who has investigated illegal waste dumping in the Northeastern United States.
